Old Town Trolley Tour- This is one of the best ways to see all the sights if you are in a crunch for time. There are stops at more than 100 of the most popular points of interest. The tour will take you to the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, the White House, the National Archives and much more. The best part about this tour is that you can get off the trolley and explore and then get on the next trolley that comes along.
DC Ducks – Since the warmer weather is back the DC Ducks are back in action. These vessels from World War II can take you from both land and sea. This is such a fun way to be able to see the monuments and sights of Washington DC. This tour is about an hour and a half long and ends with some fun on the Potomac.
Monuments by Moonlight- The Old Town Trolley also offers tours under the stars. You will get to see landmarks including the FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial.
National Cherry Blossom Festival – Spring is the time where the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom and they are definitely a sight to see. These gorgeous pink flowers are definitely something that you want to take time to see when you are visiting Washington DC in the Spring. There are tons of events at the festival to be able to take part in and celebrate the arrival of these blooms.
Easter at the White House – You can have the chance to hunt for Easter eggs on the White House Lawn, listen to storytellers and visit with the Easter bunny. The South Lawn is also open for families to enjoy sports, cooking classes, live musical performances and more. This is definitely something you must do if you are in Washington DC over the Easter holiday.
