Kids Activities in Chicago

Having a good time with kids while you are in Chicago is so easy. Patrick Cars has so many great ideas here for you to see and explore. There are so many chances to see and explore wildlife and to get everything out of what the Windy City offers.

The Field Museum – The biggest T-Rex is represented here at the museum. I know that kids love dinosaurs and so they would love to see something like this. There are also interactive activities for the kids to do while they visit and learn.

Shedd Aquarium – Aquatic life is something that is always new and different for kids. I love when there is a huge center where kids can experience all the different life that lives in the water.  There are more than 32,500 animals at this aquarium. The Stingray Exhibit and the Aquatic Show are two of the things not to miss!

Adler Planetarium – Star gazing is something that is always enjoyed by children. They love to point out how bright they are in the night sky. The Planetarium has eight different shows that they can experience.

Navy Pier – The iconic Ferris Wheel is here at the pier. The Childrens Museum and Chicago Skakespeare Theatre are also here. There is so much to do that you could spend hours down at the pier.

Millennium Park – The famous “Bean” is here and who doesn’t want to see a landmark when they are in town. It reflects the Chicago Skyline and so it makes a great photo opportunity for families to cherish and keep. There is also the Lurie Garden and Crown Fountain for the kids to explore.

Lincoln Park Zoo – This zoo costs nothing to enter and explore which makes it amazing when it comes to families on a budget. There is also a Treetop Climbing Adventure for you to experience while you are there.

From seeing the stars to exploring the oceans, there are so many different things that the kids can learn from the Chicago landmarks. I know that my list favorites are definitely the Navy Pier and Millennium Park to be able to see the icons of the city. It’s an experience they will never forget!
