So you love Halloween. Me too. But you might need Kid friendly Halloween movies. That's ok, here are some fun Halloween movies that kids will love.

It seems like as soon as school start, my house is all about Halloween. We start to drag out the decorations and get into full Halloween mode. Starting around October 1st, we try to watch as many Halloween movies as we can. But some nights, we need to make sure that we have kid-friendly Halloween movies. See, my one daughter is not a fan of scary movies. So when she wants to watch Halloween movies with us, we need to make sure we have kid friendly Halloween movies to choose from.

Beetlejuice: Come on, this is the perfect Halloween movie. While it isn’t scary, it is kid friendly and has enough creepiness to give the Halloween feel. A sweet married couple finds themselves in their home and can not leave. Discovering that they are ghosts does not comes easy for them. When people start to move into their home, the real fun begins. Once the couple meets Beetlejuice, life as they know it will never be the same.

Gremlins: Don’t feed them after midnight and don’t get them wet. What could more scary than a cute little lovable critter turning into evil little monsters that look like aliens. Watch Gremlins Free

The Corpse Bride: A Tim Burton film, and that means all by itself that it is a hit. This movie has a couple who won’t let death come between them. Literally. When a shy groom practices his wedding vows, he doesn’t realize that a deceased young woman is near by. She raises from the grave, thinking he has married her. The couple must figure out what to do next.

Arachnophobia: So while this isn’t aimed at kids, it is scary enough, thanks to the spiders, to be creepy but not too scary that kids lose their minds and end up coming to you in the middle of night with nightmares. If you have a fear of spider, you might have a few nightmares yourself, but it shouldn’t be too bad. In this creepy crawly film, a rare venomous spider finds its way to a small town. This movie will have you thinking about spider the way Jaws had you thinking about sharks.

Hotel Transylvania: What says Halloween more than a hotel full of monsters. Hotel Transylvania will leave the kids laughing and having fun while getting into the Halloween spirit.

Ghostbusters: Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters. While 3 guys are trying to rid the world of ghost and ghouls, they find themselves up against a strong force. Whether the kids love watching the guys bust the ghosts or walk the State Puff marshmallow man, this is a great family friendly Halloween movie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: This is one movie that starts around Halloween and works its way through till Christmas. Jack Skellington is tired of scaring children. He wants more out of life. Until he finds Christmas town. Watch as Halloweentown turns itself into Christmastown, or at least tries. As you can imagine, it does not go well.

Hocus Pocus: Could there be any better of a kid friendly Halloween film that Hocus Pocus. Even without the kids, this is still a must watch Halloween film every single year. Taking place on Halloween, 3 sister witches, who were once burned at the stake, are inadvertently brought into modern day by some kids playing. They must be stopped as they attempt to gather children to eat.  This movie is a right of passage into the Halloween movie world.
