Reading may not be a big town, but it does have a lot of interesting places to visit while you are in town. Whether you are visiting Reading or looking for something to do, Bob Fisher Chevrolet wants you to be able to stay entertained.
See a Fighting Phils game: All season long, you can come out and watch the Reading Phillies play. It is exciting to watch a baseball game in person, but many times, especially for people who are not huge baseball fans, the games are boring and last forever. With the Fighting Phils, there are a lot of breaks with family fun thrown in. The kids can venture to see the mascots and get their autograph for free. It happens almost every inning. There are a lot of food vendors and even a play area where you can get tickets for the kids to play games. There is even a sumo wrestler contest. Tickets are far less than a regular major league game, so there is no worry about wasting the money,
Dorney Park and Wild water Kingdom: This is one of the best places on earth. Ok, maybe an overstatement but it sure is fun. Lots of rides, water parks, and lots and lots of food. Around Halloween, there is even frightfest.
Carsonia Lake: This small neighborhood park offers a relaxing day for anyone who comes to play. It is a great place to have a picnic, play on the playground or just let kids run around.
Mid-Atlantic Air Museum: The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum helps to preserves, restores and operates historical aircraft. The main emphasis is on regional models. There is a collection ranging from bombers, transports and military trainers, to helicopters, experimental planes, and classic airliners. All of the aircraft are displayed in the Museum’s vast hangar.
Welkinweir: This 197 acre natural space feature 55 acres of arbotetum, and has a diverse habitat, filled with wetlands, meadows, and woodlands. The area is also available for special events.
Visit the Pagoda: The Pagoda offers gorgeous views of the town below. With unique architecture, this is a fun place to see. Climb to the top for a gorgeous view.
Besides these things to do in Reading, Reading isn’t that far from Philadelphia or the Poconos, adding a lot more to see in and when in Reading.
