Indianapolis Art Center – There are so many classes here. You can learn anything from woodworking to ceramics to painting. We all know that kids love hands on activities, so this place is perfect. There is also interactive artwork here on 12 acres!
Rhythm! Discovery Center – Little ones love to make noise and they can do that here. Beating on drums and learning everything about percussion is what they will experience here. This is a museum for all ages.
Indianapolis Firefighters Museum – Firetrucks are serious business when it comes to kids. They absolutely love them and this museum is all about hands-on exhibits all about firetrucks.
Indianapolis Indians – Go and see a game together. Lots of kids remember sporting events even when they are adults, so this is a memory worth making. Make sure to cheer on those Indians!
Connor Prairie – I loved hot air balloons when I was a kid. You can ride in a tethered balloon 350 feet over the prairie. There is also a petting area for animals and the kids can learn all about history at the William Connor house.
Dallara IndyCar Factory – Indianapolis is home to some fast cars and what kid doesnt like cars? There are racing simulators. You can also ride in a street legal IndyCar with a professional driver. The kids will totally enjoy that plus the tour that they will get everything that goes into the cars.
Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – I love Children’s Museums because they always have something for every kid. There are 12 galleries for kids to experience making it the largest. The Dinosphere is seriously amazing here!
IMAX Theater – This screen is three stories tall! How amazing would this be for a kid? Kid movies are featured here and it is an experience of a lifetime.
Go Ape! Treetop Adventure – Go for an adventure in a forest canopy with the little ones. This course offers rope ladders, net bridges, trapezes, Tarzan swings and five different zip lines.
Indianapolis Zoo – There is seriously everything here from dolphins to cheetahs to elephants. Zoos are always a must when it comes to kids activities when you visit a new place.
